After last year's overnight near Mount Everett with Colin, Jeremy and Judy, I did a tough 13 miler from Boardman Road, Sheffield to Beartown Mountain Road, Monterey three weeks ago then a quick march up from the Ashuwillticook Trail in Cheshire to top of Mount Greylock a week ago. On October 22, 2006 Keye and I did the flats between Jud End Road (the end of last year's hike) and Boardman Road: five miles, a lot of which is newly located since we last did this section with Brigette Schutzmann 13 years ago, including one stretch right on the bank of the Housatonic River.
