Vail, Colorado -- February, 2004
Not having been to Vail in five years and looking for the "walk-to-the-lifts" experience we returned to the Eagle Valley for a week with Joe and Ginny and Max and Glen and Mary and Ray.

Catie Briggs (Ginny's cousin and Maid of Honor) joined us for a few days.  Above left:  Keye, John, Ginny, Catie, Glen and Max at the top of the Lionshead Tram.  We watched the exciting Patriots' SuperBowl win on Sunday night, February 1, 2004, and celebrated the next day at Beaver Creek:  Above right:  Ray, Keye, Max and John (the alpine skiers for the day) stop for lunch at the bottom of Larkspur Bowl at Beaver Creek.  Below:  Glen, Ginny, Max and Joe (on left) and John, Mary and Ray lounge on the beach in front of McCoys's Cafe waiting for Keye to finish her run so we could go home.  Mary, Glen, Ginny and Joe skate skied and cross-country skied at the top of Larpsur Bowl at 10,000 feet on a perfect day.
Above left:  Ginny's old ski buddy from Germany, Peter Berg, joined us at Beaver Creek, then skied with us for a day at Vail: showing us all the powder stashes.  Above:  Ray with Bob Briggs (Catie's husband) at Breckenridge, they home ski area, where we skied on Tuesday.  Above right:  Catie and Glen at lunch Tuesday.  Left:  Bob and Catie's home at 11,437 feet above seal level near Breckenridge and just below the continental divide.  They invited us for dinner Tuesday night and we barely escaped in a heavy snow storm.  Right:  Keye and Mary enjoyed Tuesday in Bob and Catie's home.  Left:  Ginny and Mary in our condo:  Unit 310 at Vail International, the same condo unit that Barry Hollister introduced us all to in 1987.  Lower Left:  Glen in my old biathlon hat waits with me for Keye.  Below:  Ginny and Max on the bus.  Lower right:  A sight we saw too little of this year:  Keye skiing.  More pictures below.
